Shawneka is a DMV-raised, NY local actress and model.

Her credits include numerous independent TV/Film projects. Most recently, she was cast in Vivien & The Florist, written by Jayce Bartok and directed by Nick Sandow.

In addition to her work in film, Shawneka is passionate about theater. She played Shanita in Dominique Morisseau's "Skeleton Crew" at the Stagecrafters Theater and Jo in "The Legend of Georgia McBride" at the South Camden Theatre, among other roles.

Shawneka’s commercial work includes campaigns for brands such as BMW, Giant, Paramount Plus, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hungryroot, and the American Cancer Society. She has also done parts modeling for Campbell’s, Netflix House, and Violife, as well as print modeling for TiZo Skincare, Absolute Joi Skincare (Macy’s campaign), and more.

She does Fit Modeling for Free People and Printfresh. Industrial work for various pharmaceutical companies and Comcast.

Beyond the world of acting, Shawneka enjoys learning new interior design tips and tricks, caring for her over 20 plants, practicing her guitar, trying new recipes, working out, reading, and spending time with family and friends, especially with her baby niece.

Shawneka is a member of SAG-AFTRA and is based in northern New Jersey. She is available for local hire in New York City and Philadelphia. As a full-time artist, Shawneka is available to travel at any time.
